CAD VCL Multiplatform is a component for developing applications in Delphi and C++Builder. It allows creating, visualizing, importing, exporting, converting and printing drawings. Developers can get access to properties of entities. CAD VCL Multiplatform supports a large number of vector and 3D formats including AutoCAD DWG/DXF, HPGL, STEP, IGES, STL, SVG, CGM, etc. The library is provided with Delphi source code and easy-to-use demo applications to get you started quickly and easily. CAD VCL does not require AutoCAD or the installation of other third party applications. CAD VCL Multiplatform includes support for FireMonkey, CAD VCL does not.

The component is provided as Delphi source code and is delivered with illustrative demo applications which will get you started without difficulties. The demo application Getting Started contains simple code examples that can be easily copied to another application in order to use CAD VCL Multiplatform features. The Viewer demo application is an example of using CAD VCL Multiplatform for viewing files. With its help a developer can learn component features such as zooming, printing, managing layouts, etc. To know how to add entities with the specified properties and also export a drawing to DWG/DXF format a developer can use the demo application Add Entities. The demo Editor shows how to select entities and work with their properties. The demo SimpleImport is for import purposes. It demonstrates access to the properties of entities such as layers, blocs, attributes, etc.
